Use of Cookies And Pixels
Similar to other commercial websites, our website utilises a standard technology called “cookies” and server logs to collect information about how our site is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our site, and the websites visited just before and just after our own, as well as your IP address.
A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.
We reserve the right to use technological equivalents of cookies, including social media pixels. These pixels allow social media sites to track visitors to outside websites so as to tailor advertising messages users see while visiting that social media website. We reserve the right to use these pixels in compliance with the policies of the various social media sites.
Third Party Use Of Cookies
We use cookies and server logs served by third-parties, to collect data on how you use the Website, such as visit times, pages viewed, and the websites you visited before and after ours. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer. We may also use social media pixels to track visitors for tailored advertising in line with social media policies.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.
Email Information
If you email us, we may retain your email address, message content, and our responses. We protect these communications as we do all other information received online, by mail, or by phone. This applies to emails sent during registration, sign-ups, or purchases. See our email policies below for more details.
Email Policies
We keep your email address confidential and do not sell, rent, or lease our email lists to third parties, except as outlined in the “Disclosure of Your Information” section. We follow federal laws in maintaining email information.
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, our emails clearly identify the sender and provide contact information. Each email includes an option to unsubscribe, allowing you to stop receiving emails from us.
Email Subscriptions
If you sign up for free resources, training, webinars, or purchase products, you will be automatically subscribed to our free email newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in our emails or by contacting us at contact@gippslandmedia.com.au.
How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?
We use the personal information you provide to operate and present our Website, offer products and services, manage subscriptions, fulfil contracts, provide customer service, and support our business activities. We may also use your information to send you tailored offers from third parties, earning a commission if you choose to purchase. Additionally, we may display ads based on your interests and activities.
Disclosure Of Your Information
As a general rule, we do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise transfer any information collected whether automatically or through your voluntary action.
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your information unless:
– We share it with subsidiaries, affiliates, or service providers to offer you services.
– It is necessary to enforce our terms or contracts, such as involving a lawyer or collection agency.
– It is part of a business transfer, like a merger or sale of assets.
– We are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights. In other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights or when compelled by a court or other governmental entity to do so.
How Do We Protect Your Information and Secure Information Transmissions?
We use standard security measures to protect your information, including working with reputable third-party vendors. However, email is not a secure communication method, so avoid sending private information via email unless necessary and at your own risk. Sensitive data, like credit card information, is transmitted securely through SSL.
We use software to create summary statistics, monitor site security, and ensure our service remains accessible by identifying unauthorised activities or system issues.
Policy Changes
We will update this page with any changes to our privacy policy. If we make significant changes to how we handle your personal information, we will notify you via email and/or with a notice on our homepage. The last revision date is listed at the bottom of this page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Website and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
