Project Overview

From Paynesville on the Gippsland Lakes to Omeo in the High Country, and all the way to Mallacoota in the far east, the 2023 winter festival program was jam-packed full of family-friendly events, winter feasts, workshops and beautiful art installations to experience HOW WE WINTER in East Gippsland.

We collaborate closely with the Winter Festival to comprehensively cover all the significant events throughout East Gippsland. We provided content for social media, web, and TV commercials (TVCs). Our work was even featured on the Monday night news, recapping the weekend’s events.

Our primary goal was to capture these events in a manner that would entice more visitors in the future. We take pride in being a strong supporter of the 2023 East Gippsland Winter Festival and eagerly anticipate supporting next year’s events.

Capturing Experiences and Community Spirit

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Nicholson River, the Nicholson River Trestle Bridge Long Table Lunch offered a unique dining experience during the East Gippsland Winter Festival. Our videography transports you to this scenic venue, where acoustic tunes by local musician Bonnie Edwards, and delicious locally made food created a delightful atmosphere.

The Shearing Shed Lamb Feast by Forge Creek Lamb provided a genuine paddock-to-plate experience at a working sheep farm. Our videography showcases this unique event where guests witnessed the preparation of various lamb cuts by Stuart Derham from The Local Metung. It was an immersive celebration of East Gippsland produce and culinary expertise where guests enjoyed lamb dishes paired with local wines and beers.

The Medieval Winter Fire Festival, hosted by Bruthen Presents, transported attendees to the enchanting world of the Middle Ages. Guests donned their finest medieval attire, braved the winter evening, and immersed themselves in a night filled with historical re-enactments, sword fights, and medieval games. Our videography captures the essence of this captivating journey back in time.

The Lakes Lights event illuminated Lakes Entrance with a dazzling display of lanterns, projections, and art installations. Our videography captured the magic of the night, filled with the longest lantern parade we have ever seen, art, music, and community spirit. Lakes Lights became the largest East Gippsland Winter Festival event yet, with over 6000 attendees joining in to celebrate the beauty of the region.

The Gippsland Jersey Winter Solstice Sunrise Swim event promoted both physical and mental well-being through the invigorating experience of cold water immersion. Our videography captured this moment of renewal, as attendees bravely took the plunge and celebrated the arrival of winter in a memorable fashion.

We captured the atmosphere of Sailors Grave’s ‘Deep in the Weeds’ event during the opening weekend of the 2023 East Gippsland Winter Festival. The night featured a headline performance by C.W. Stoneking whose unique blend of music, inspired by the 1920s deep south blues, perfectly complemented the brewery’s reputation for crafting unconventional and delightful beers.
